Behold the men's gladiator sandal! Another reason as to why I am so excited for spring.

Looks like the CrossIron Mills mall development near Balzac will be seeing a lot of me come fall. I'm definitely looking forward to Urban Outfitters, Holt Renfrew Last Call, Banana Republic (Outlet), and Lacoste (Outlet).

Now, Take me to the Disco

From as long as I can remember I've always been attracted to shiny things. It doesn't matter what they are, as long as they give off that sparkle. To be honest though, I really don't own many shiny pieces of anything, let alone clothing. These pieces would totally be something that I would invest in.. if I had $300 US to shell out for each one.

Apparently the shiny little mirror-like particles are meant to fall off over time, thus creating a worn look. If you ask me, once it loses it's bling appeal I would no longer be likely to wear it.

And just to add to the disco vibe I thought I would upload a nice DiscoTech remix of Coldplay's Viva la Vida.

Blinded

Loving this remix. Song was used in the women's Balenciaga F/W 2008 show. Give it a listen.

Old School Reinvented

Behold the modern men's legging, otherwise known as the long john!

Photo courtesy of Surface magazine. These leggings happen to be made by 2(x)ist. Men's long johns have been around forever and have been associated with a strong sense of masculinity. Now, leggings whether made of cotton or spandex are not only for the girls. Wear them under shorts, or maybe even try a man skirt (??).

This is only the beginning. Many designers are now pushing men's looks that have long been associated with femininity. I for one am tired of the drab staples of the average man's wardrobe. Exciting!

Longing to be Parisian

Heard of Flight of the Conchords yet? Hope the answer is a resounding "YES!" Not only do they have their own TV show, but they now have a CD compilation of their hilarious music out, which I have managed to purchase :)

The New Zealanders Bret Mckenzie and Jemaine Clement make up the ridiculous duo.

But before you watch the video for my favorite song, "Foux de Fa Fa" by the pair, be sure to check out American Apparel's website. Now you can invest in a stunningly stylish wool baret so as to add to the overwhelming faux french vibe of this song. Ouuuuuuuiiii!!!
