Lingerieeeeee! Sonia Rykiel poised to release her house's H&M lingerie capsule collection December 5. Frankly, I doubt if any of the Calgary locations will be receiving anything remotely Rykiel, not that I'm into the whole wearing female underwear thing (hehe?). Just being able to see it (or touch it.. eeek!) in person would be super amazing.

And as if Rykiel wasn't fabulous enough, she is also producing another capsule collection of the prêt-à-porter variety. Below is a little clip of the production going into the show. The collection is slated to show December 1 at ze Grand Palais, broadcasted online on the H&M website. SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M! Duh duh duuuh!

I know that this is a tad old and I can't help but feel a little out of the loop on this one. Yesterday while surfing style.com I stumbled upon Sonia Rykiel's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Her 40th anniversary in designing her quirky-chic Parisian looks.

To top it all off Rykiel's daughter surprised her mother by announcing that she had a gift in store. Turns out thirty high profile designers each created their own version of a Sonia Rykiel creation and sent them down the runway! Beyond fab.

In total between Rykiel and the other designers there were over 100 looks.

And They Speak!

Sonia Rykiel Fall/Winter 2009/2010. An apparent blast for both the models and the show attendees. My understanding is that every model had a tag line to repeat throughout the show several times, either in French or English. In my opinion, this really showed which models were the most versatile. This is definitely what I think fashion should be like. Fun and ridiculous, but most of all completely gorgeous.
